The Arete Prep Boys Basketball team made history yesterday, winning the programs first AIA Region Tournament Championship. The #3 seed Chargers knocked off #2 Ray 48-47 in a Tuesday Semifinal. They returned to Fort Thomas Thursday and beat #1 seeded hosts 56-51. Erik Baker led the charge with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Arete Prep Varsity Golf season will begin with a mandatory player and parent information meeting on Wednesday 2/6. The meeting will be held in Room 101 at Arete Prep, and will run from 3:00-3:30pm. The first tryout will take place the following day, Thursday 2/7 at Sunland Village East (2250 S. Buttercup, Mesa, AZ)
The 4th seeded “A” Baseball Chargers beat #5 Glendale Prep 11-0 to move on to the Quarterfinals of the GHMSL Postseason Tournament. Brendan Ausdemore and Shepard Small combined on a no hitter.
