Coed Varsity Archery Advanced, Coed Varsity Archery Beginner · Advanced Archers Qualify for Nationals after Successful State Competition


The Arete Prep Advanced Archery team had a strong state tournament, with many Chargers qualifying for the National Competition in Salt Lake City, UT on April 26th-27th.

The Middle school team came in  3rd place in the state bullseye shoot, and just missed qualification in 3D, finishing 4th.

Cooper Beauregard is a National Qualifier, after placing  3rd place HS overall. Other National Qualifers include:

Kate Veselovsky: Bullseye

Lauren Veselovsky: Bullseye

Joel Herber: 3D and Bullseye

Shawn Widner:  Bullseye

Arete Prep Coach George Portillo earned high honors at the state competition, taking home NASP’s (National Archery in the Schools Program) Coach of the Year Award. Coach Portillo has done an incredible job growing the Archery program at Arete Prep. This is quite an honor, as George was selected as Coach of the Year in an organization of almost two million particpants. Congratulations George, and good luck to our Archers headed to Nationals!

Beginning Archery starts the week after spring break. Become a part of this rising program at Arete Prep!
